Shipping Back to Brunei

The BruManch society has been receving many helpful responses about Shipping things back to Brunei. This information is useful for final year students. Here are the details of the shipping companies:

Company : Atlantis (BSU recommends for Manchester)
Address :
Atlantis House,
Bennett Road,
Leeds, LS6 3HN
Telephone : (0113) 278 9191
Email : atlseaair@aol.com

Company : Widewater Ltd
Telephone : 02070335953
Details : 2.6 metre cube for GBP300

Company : Seven Seas
Details :
The charge is 60 pounds for the first box, then 20 for following boxes and 10 pounds for book boxes. They provide boxes, bubble wrap, tape etc.

You can pack your things in two ways: Trunks or Boxes. Although trunks appear to be more durable, boxes are recommended by the BSU Officers because it is cheaper. Boxes can be found in this link.

Actually for those residing in Manchester, BSU recommends Atlantis instead of Widewater Ltd.

For our part, what we have to decide is whether we want to use trunks, boxes or suitcases as a means of storage. So thats why for those opting to get trunks, BSU recommends Atlantis, to reduce the cost of transporting the trunk from the company to one's house as the company is located nearer to Manchester than is Widewater which is based in London. Please take note that these will be under our own finances.

Ultimately, what shipping company is used to ship our stuff is decided by BSU. So thats why we need to send in the form so they can organise a collection date for the shipping company to come to manchester and collect our belongings. (Read: please submit in form at least 3 weeks before the desired collection date). The cost of shipping to brunei however will be under the expense of BSU so long as students stick to the allocated storage dimensions (40cubic feet).

On a much different note: Yippee to final year chem eng students for having finished their exams yesterday! Please spread the happiness to all of us!

So if you are looking for cardboard boxes. You should visit The box Warehouse. Really nice man and pretty good service too.
