- "Hijrah Bersama BruManch" : Everyone were instructed to walk to MacDougall Prayer Place without saying a word to each other until after Isya' prayer. A simple rule was given to us : "If you talk, you'll pay extra pounds for BruManch Society Registration" The only word allowed to come out of our mouth was أستغفر الله.The main point is to refresh our Nawaitu, everything for the sake of Allah, and to give an idea and feeling of Hijrah.
After Isya' Prayer, BruManch Female Religious Officer, Hamizah Othman, continued her Tazkirah :
"The task given might not be easy at first, but Alhamdulillah everyone did it very well. Basically, the main point is for us to have a feeling on how Hijrah was done back then. Imagine how difficult it was for you to walk all the way to MacDougall without a single word, it must be far more difficult back then when they actually had to leave their home town, their family, their life, just to perform Hijrah together with our Prophet Muhammad SAW, to spread Islam, imagine their difficulties in terms of shelter, food, protection. Also, what we did earlier was beneficial in a way that we don't waste our time talking to each other about some random things. Imagine when you repeat أستغفر الله while walking your way to the University, or even on your way back home, it makes you closer to Allah, InsyaAllah. What we have now, we should be thankful to Allah. Alhamdulillah. I hope this benefits all of you. And together, lets refresh our Niat, everything for the sake of Allah, InsyaAllah. Amin."
