Volunteer: Pertandingan Lagu Dakwah 2010/2011
Assalamualaikum and Hello
Dear BruManch Members,
I am sure that everyone is waiting for the news on BruManch Talentime. Due to several unavoidable issues there will be no BruManch Talentime this year. The good news is, Brunei Student's Union (BSU) and BruManch Society in collaboration with Unit Penuntut-Penuntut (UPP) would like to present to you; Pertandingan Lagu Dakwah which will be held on 19th March 2011 in Council Chamber, University of Manchester Student Union.
And we would like to get few volunteers for this event! So, for those of you who are interested to help out and work behind the scenes for the event please let us know by emailing us at brumanch@gmail.com! Free Volunteer T-Shirt will be given for the Volunteers. So please include your size detail in the email.
Volunteers will be divided into each of the following:
- Decoration Team
- Registration
- Food
- Ushering
- Backstage
This is open to ALL BruManch Members and NON Members! Only the first Ten (10) people to submit their names will be selected! So what are you waiting for? Reply this email NOW if you want to be a part of this First Collaboration event!

Update: BruManch Madpaintball Team 2011
Salam and Hello everyone!
How are you all? Hope all still in a good shape despite Burning in this Exams period. Anyway It's the time of the year again where the BBSS (BRUMINGHAM SOCIETY) organizing their annual event called the MADPAINTBALL 2011. Therefore BruManch are planning to participate this Awesome event!=)
It will be held on the 26th of February 2011. (Saturday)
The registration just started roughly 30minutes ago and will be closed on the 6th of February BUT BruManch are planning to register early as possible as this year its only open for 12 teams!:3

The Total registration fees are 490 pounds per team that made of 16 people (12 on field and 4 reserves).
BUT ====>>>> BruManch will SUBSIDIZE roughly1/3 of the fees, so each will only have to pay 20.50 pounds!
Payment will only be made on the 1st of February 2011 to BruManch treasurer - will be informed on a later info.

Update: E-code Non Halal Food
salam to all Muslims,
do we aware of what we are eating and buying.. Is it halal? or suspicious?
Halal meaning lawful or permitted. The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. However, we will use these terms only in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, and food contact materials.
While many things are clearly halal or haram, there are some things which are not clear. Further information is needed to categorize them as halal or haram. Such items are often referred to as mashbooh, which means doubtful or questionable.
so please be aware of these unclear things which i think more important, don't let the nafsu inside let us to try something that is categorize as mashbosh. If you are hesitating if its halal or not, please leave it=).

“And eat not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters” (6:121).
-On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah said: “Allah the Almighty is good and accepts only that which is good. Allah has commanded the Faithful to do that which He commanded the Messengers, and the Almighty has said: “O ye Messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right..” (Quran 23:51). And Allah the Almighty has said: “O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you..” (2:172). Then he mentioned [the case of] a man who, having journeyed far, is disheveled and dusty and who spreads out his hands to the sky [saying]: O Lord! O Lord!-while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing unlawful, and he is nourished unlawfully, so how can he be answered!” (Muslim).
