BruManch National Day and Chinese New Year Dinner 2011

Salam and Hi all,

Exams are over now and I'm sure everyone did well! So lets all get together and have dinner in celebration for National day and Chinese New year!

DATE: Tuesday, 22nd February 2011.
VENUE: Thai Banana, 262 Wilmslow Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester M14 6JR.
TIME: 6 PM.
Dress code: Cultural. (Not strict)

Our dress code will portray our theme this year. So be creative and have fun with your wardrobe, may it be a classic cheongsam or a traditional baju kurong/baju melayu, or even a small effort of showing a hint of tradition, as long as it depicts the theme it will do! =) We will also have fun games and competition like charades and best dressed.

The dinner will be a buffet and it will cost £8.50 per person, however for members we will subsidise £2.50 off it, making it only £6 per person. Yay!

It will be a cultural night to remember!

As you all might have known but just in case you forgot that next week would be our beloved prophet's (PBUH) birthday. If we remember and celebrate our birthdays and even others', why not our prophet's(PBUH) birthday right? *nod*. And even the prophet(PBUH) remembered us when he was about to leave this world, how about us?. How many times have we actually remembered him while we are still in a good health? or Have we actually remembered him? So insya Allah next week we are going to 'celebrate' our prophet's(PBUH) birthday by giving you something that insya Allah will make us to love him more and more and more as the prophet(PBUH) said;
"Barangsiapa yang cinta kepada aku, barangsiapa yang kasih kepada aku, sesungguhnya mereka inilah yang akan berada dengan ku di dalam syurga yang kekal abadi"

Congratulation BruManch Team on winning the First place in netball at Malyasian Manchester games 2011 today! Well done!

The Brunei-Newcastle Society will be having A joint sports event where Bruneian and Malaysian societies in Newcastle are collaborating together to bring both Bruneians and Malaysians around the UK to compete in sports.

Sports that will take place are 5-A-side Football and Badminton (Men Singles, Women Singles and Mixed Doubles).

BSU Umrah & BruNotts Easter Games

BSU Umrah

Insya Allah, there will be Umrah trip in the upcoming Easter holidays. The trip will be led by the religious officer from the UPP (Ustaz). The brief details will be as follows:
