BruManch First Quranic Circle

Salam and Hello people !

Life as a student is pretty hectic and stressful. Thus, in order to balance the 'emotion', Islam teaches us to read Al-Quran - a great way of relaxing and a way to make your mind peace.

BruManch first weekly Quranic Circle kicked off last Friday, October 15th, 2010 at Zul's crib for the gents and Izzah's 323, Rusholme crib for the ladies. This event will be held on every Friday, insyaAllah.

Thanks to those who came to this event. Hope to see more BruManch-ians in the future BruManch QC.

From the Islamic Society of Royal Holloway, University of London - The Charity Week 2010 will be held from 25th of October onwards til October 30th, 2010. This event is a student-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of orphan children. It is ti unify our efforts to help those in need by rising money and awareness for orphans across the world.

The Strangers Tour

Salam and hello people !

'The Strangers' - a refreshing look at the relationships of Muslims with themselves, their Lord and the larger community. Join Boonaa Mohammed, Shaykh Ame Jamil and Baba Ali for an evening filled with poetry, comedy and a reminder that will bring you closer to those whom you have become disconnected with.

Tickets for the event are £10 each which is schedulled to begin at 6.30 pm with door opening at 6 pm.

The New BruManch

Salam and hello people !

First of all we would like to WELCOME all new BruManch members/students to our society. We're glad to find out that there are more new students studying in Manchester and we hope you guys will enjoy yourselves spending your time together with us all.

Last weekend, Saturday, October 9th, 2010 was the first event organized by the BruManch Society - the annual BruManch Raya of which the objective of this first event being held during every new academic year, is to get to know new members and of course, selecting our new committee members !

The food were great and it was a great day indeed. Thank you to those of you who prepared the awesome and tasty food and not forgettin' to you guys who helped us to ensure this event went well as planned (of which it's indeed)!
